We're getting a diverse set of companies signed up for the WAVE competition. WAVE stands for Wycombe Advertising Video for Enterprise and is a schools video competition being organised by the Federation of Small Businesses in conjunction with Bucks New University.

Businesses in Wycombe District are eligible to register an interest in being filmed if they are small (no more than 20 employees) and local. So far businesses as diverse as a guest house, an internet marketing and design company and a company that organises group walks are among those who have contacted us. So if you'd like a chance to be part of the competition get in touch with us for details!

We have a fourth judge confirmed now for the Wycombe Advertisng Video for Enterprise competition. Welcome to Stephen Partridge, Department Manager - Media Production at Buckinghamshire New University.

WAVE is being organised jointly by South Bucks and Aylesbury branch of The Federation of Small Businesses and Bucks New University.

We are currently looking for companies in Wycombe District to be the subject of the filming. Could be any type of business from hairdresser to graphic designer, but mustn't employ more than 20 people. An opportunity for a free promotional video! Use our contact details to find out more.

WAVE stands for Wycombe Advertising Video for Enterprise, a schools video competition we are organising for the Federation of Small Businesses in conjunction with Bucks New University.

This morning we're delighted to hear that Steve Cohen, editor of the Bucks Free Press, has accepted our invitation to join the judging panel for this competition.

We are looking for businesses to film for the competition. Your business is eligible if it is based in Wycombe District and employs a maximum of 20 people. You could end up with a free promotional video for your company.

Spent an interesting hour last Friday talking to David Rolfe, BAFTA winner for his BBC programme about the Turin Shroud, about the WAVE competition.

David, of Performance Films, mentors youngsters for the Media Trust, and has agreed to be one of the WAVE judges. He also had lots of advice about how to make the competition run smoothly.

Just putting together final plans for launching the WAVE competition. This is a schools video competition and is a joint venture between the schools liaison department of Buckinghamshire New University and the Federation of Small Businesses.

The plan is for small teams from local schools to spend a day in local businesses to make a one-minute video about a day in the life in the real world of work.

Immediately after Christmas we'll be looking for prize sponsors and for companies to take part. Bucks New University will be approaching our local schools.

We're really excited about this competition and hoping that it will become an annual event.
